These are my two favorite prayers for love. The Lord God placed us on the Earth to love ourselves and others. He wants us to find and cherish love in our life. These two prayers ask God for help in our love life.

Submit your prayer to Churches, prayer groups and shrines all around the world with a prayer request.

Prayer for Rekindling a Relationship

Dear God,

In one of these prayers for love, I ask for wisdom and guidance on my relationship in my hopes to rekindle that relationship. I pray that you remind us of the love we once shared for one another and no matter what issues and problems we’re currently going through, I pray that you give us strength to surpass each and every one.

No matter what mistakes we’ve made to hurt one another, give us the capacity to choose and love even when it’s not the easiest thing to do. We choose each other at the beginning of the relationship for a distinct reason and I pray you give us the insight to remember what those reasons are. In my hopes to rekindle my relationship with the person I love, help us learn from our mistakes and avoid hurting each other intentionally. May you pour us the kind of love that seems pure and kind, the one that forgives unconditionally even when hurt.

Give us the kind of love that You repeatedly teach in Your word and the kind that you remind us to become. I believe in second chances, especially with a relationship that I really want to work out for the best. Most importantly, give us both the faith to put you in the center of our relationship as we both know that this relationship can’t work out the way we want to if You aren’t at the center. Let our faith and love for You be stronger than the love we have for each other because only than can we repair this relationship to what it was. Give us the reminder and conviction on why our relationship is worth fighting for rather than walking away from and finding someone else. However, if things really aren’t meant to be, may you also give us both wisdom and courage to know when to walk away from something that isn’t right for us.

Even if it pains us to do, give us a sign if our relationship is worth fighting or worth letting go of. As much as you taught us that love is patient and kind, love is also about letting go.

Amen.

Prayer for Finding the Right Love

Dear God,

It’s not always the easiest thing to find relationships that are worth sticking around for. In these prayers for love, I pray that you give me someone who deserves every aspect of me and someone who won’t break my heart. Love is patient and kind, and I’ll do everything my capability to wait for the love that you give to me.

I pray that you give me someone who does everything to be kind and compassionate, both to me and others. I pray that even in anger, they choose to be soft towards me and will choose the love they have for me rather than the all-consuming anger they feel. Most importantly, I pray to have a relationship with You as our core foundation because every relationship is pointless if I don’t share the same faith and beliefs with them. I pray that we have a fulfilling and meaningful relationship through the faith and love we share for You and each other. I know that the world romanticizes a temporary love that promotes nothing meaningful, but I pray you give me someone who I can grow from and learn from. I pray you give me someone that even when trials and challenges persist, will continue to love me throughout it all. I pray you give me a relationship that’s the literal representation of a Corinthians 13 kind of love.

Even when we disagree with each other and even when we think we’re angry, I hope you give us the wisdom to know how to forgive one another repeatedly. I hope that if it turns out that they’re the right person, it’s a relationship that would eventually lead to marriage on your timing. I pray that even without forcing a relationship, I cross paths with that one person meant to be my best friend and soulmate at the same time. Give me the wisdom to know when a relationship is right for me and the courage to walk away when it’s not right.

Amen.
